Wish You Were Here
Hello everyone,
I hope you have been well and that summer is keeping you busy with lots of fun stuff. Hopefully you are able to find time to be creative too!
I had a little play with the bold and beautiful Bohemian Bazaar line by Graphic 45. While I love bright, summery colours, I am often at a loss when it comes to creating with them and putting cards and layouts together. So, this week I challenged myself to create a layout and a card using this line for my Showcase Monday post on the Scrapbooker's Paradise blog. I loved this range so much, I even created a little bonus project with it that would make a beautiful gift for a little girl.
Here is a peak at the card:
I hope you will pop on over to the Scrapbooker's Paradise blog to take a peak at the other projects. I have also included details on how I created each project, as well as a full supply list in my SP post here.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week.
Hugs & happy crafting!

Ribbon Flower Tutorial
Hello everyone,
I'm back again to share a quick and simple thank you card featuring some pretty flowers I made with ribbon.
These flowers are really fun to make and can be adapted to different styles so easily by changing the ribbon and centres. I have put together a step by step photo tutorial for creating these flowers over on the Scrapbooker's Paradise blog. For more details on my card and to check out the tutorial, go here. I hope you like them and give them a try!
Thanks so much for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment. I love reading them and having the chance to visit you too. I have been away, so I have fallen behind again, but will start catching up with everyone again tomorrow (after I get some much needed zzzzzzz's!).
Hugs & happy crafting,

I {heart} my Pet at Creatalicious
Hello everyone,
I hope you had an awesome weekend! We went camping with family; it was nice to get away and spend some time outdoors. When my cat was a few years younger, we used to take her along on camping trips. Yes, I know I am a little crazy, but she travelled really well and loved being amongst the trees and squirrels. It was also good for her to get a little exercise and sometimes it even tired her out a little.
A new challenge starts today at Creatalicious and the theme is I {heart} my pet. For this challenge, I have created a quick, fun layout of my poor Sophia (aka Poofer) on the way home from a camping trip. She was absolutely pooped out and we couldn't believe all the wonky positions she ended up falling asleep in. We got a good chuckle from it anyway and of course had to take photos. Sometimes the camera woke her up, but I swear she had been sleeping in all of these poses. If you click on the photo it should make it bigger if you want a better look.
This month, we are sponsored by Cedar Chest Designs and the winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to their online store! I hope you will pop by Creatalicious Challenges to check out the beautiful projects the team has made and then join in the fun!
Thanks so much for popping by and for taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate them and love having the chance to visit you too. It might take me a little while to get there - summer is so busy - but I will get there.
Hugs,
Dawn

Playing in Paradise Sketch Challenge #3
Hello crafters,
I hope you are all swell and enjoying summer! It is already the second Friday of July, so a new Playing in Paradise Sketch challenge starts today. I get to play the role of lovely hostess and it is my first time actually preparing a sketch. So, I hope you like it and will be inspired to come play with us! I'd love to see what you make. Here is my sketch:
For my inspiration piece, I created a card using the beautiful Trail Mix line by Bo Bunny. All of the papers are from this line, and I used them for all the die cuts as well.
The rolled roses where made using Tim Holtz's Tattered Pinecone die. I love how they turned out :)
Supplies:
Bo Bunny Trail Mix paper pack
Hot Off the Press Lacy Frames and Borders Dazzles
Gesso
Sizzix Tree Line die by Tim Holtz
Bo Bunny Small Doily
Sizzix Mini Ticket die by Tim Holtz
Tim Holtz Odds and Ends Stamp set
Sizzix Tattered Pinecone die by Tim Holtz
Sizzix Rose Flower die by Susan Tierney-Cockburn (for the leaves)
Tim Holtz film strip ribbon
Tim Holtz Paper String
Distress ink in Vintage Photo and Antique Linen
Paper distresser
If you haven't already, I hope you will pop by the Playing in Paradise Sketch challenge and check out the beautiful projects made by my talented team mates and guest designer. Then get out your crafty stuff and come and play for a chance to win some nifty crafty stuff and a guest designer spot in our next challenge.
Thanks so much for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate each one and am doing my best to visit everyone. It may take a while, but I will get there :)
Hugs & happy crafting,

Snow People
Hello everyone,
Have you been enjoying the hot July weather? Need to cool off a bit?? How about making a project with a snowman (or women) on it? If it doesn't take you away to somewhere a little cooler, at least you will have one more Christmas project done and ready, hence avoiding the December card madness :) If you haven't already guessed, this month's Christmas at Sweet Stampin' theme is Snow People. I hope you will join in :)
I have made some happy little gift tags for this month. I created a Tim Holtz style background (well, with a bit more glitter then he might use lol) by smearing my card through Distress inks. A little shimmer spray wash and some stamping for a light snow effect finished the look. I decorated my tags with some torn paper (again washed with shimmer spray) for the snow, my snowman image (from CTMH) coloured with pencils, a snowflake with rhinestone, some tinsel and a couple of beads. The letters were cut from a TH die and covered generously with Christmas red stickles. And there you have it - pretty simple but I think they turned out really cute :)
If you pop by Christmas at Sweet Stampin', you'll be able to feast your eyes on the gorgeous creations the team made to help inspire you. This month we are sponsored by My Mom' Craft Shop, who are generously providing the lucky winner with a £10 voucher to their store. So, come join us in the Frosty fun!

But before I get to the giveaway details, I do have a baby card to share. People just don't seem to stop having babies! lol
Supplies:
Stamps - Sugar Nellie image, Stampin Up sentiment (retired)
Colouring - Distress Inks
Paper - all scraps - Hooray!! :) I don't remember the manufacturer, but it is a few years old I think
Other - safety pin + button from my stash, American Crafts lace, MS punch, ribbon and pearls
And now onto my latest favourite stamp. I absolutely fell in love with the entire line of Jack, Patch and Puss stamps by LOTV. Picking a favourite was exceptionally difficult, but I finally settled on this adorable image:
There is my stamped image, waiting for some love along with a new one waiting for a new home. You can view the image and a card sample on LOTV's site here.
As before, this giveaway is open to everyone. You do not have to be a follower, but if you like my 'work' then I would love it if you were. To enter, simply leave a comment on this post telling me how/when you make time to get creative (maybe I'll learn something from you so that next time I can have a card ready to share lol). If you leave a comment but do not tell me how you make time to get crafty, I will assume you do not want to be entered in the draw. You have until July 29th at midnight (Mountain Daylight time) to enter and I will announce the winner here shortly after.
Thanks for visiting and for any comments you leave. I love reading them and having the chance to visit you too. I am slowly catching up with visits, so if I have not been by to see you yet, I will hopefully get there in the next couple of days.

Medallion Lanterns
Hello everyone,
I hope you have been well and enjoying summer. It has been a really busy one, and so I have been absent from the land of blog for the last week. I apologize for not being by to visit and leave you all a few words; I hope to catch up this week. I will also post my next favourite stamp giveaway in the next couple days - even if I don't have time to make a project with it. It has been sitting on my desk for far too long already.
For today, I have something out of the ordinary to share. Every patio needs some pretty lights and these ones were inspired by the beautiful medallion eight die by Spellbinders.
Thanks so much for popping by and for any comments you may leave. I really appreciate each one and love having the chance to visit you too. I'll be by before the week is over and I'll be back soon with my next little giveaway.
Hugs,
Dawn
